FDA ACS Symposium: Benchmarks for Diversity in Oncology Clinical Trials

On behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Oncology Center of Excellence and the American Cancer Society (ACS), we are delighted for your participation in the FDA-ACS public symposium to be held on October 16, 2024 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC.

The symposium will feature both an on-site and virtual option for attending.

The goal of the symposium is to engage stakeholders to discuss strategies to improve the demographic representativeness of participants in oncology clinical trials, through prospective benchmark setting. Participants will discuss benchmarks for demographic representativeness by evaluating fit-for-purpose data sources to inform demographic benchmarks for representativeness; applying methodology that helps convert these benchmarks to attainable enrollment goals for a clinical trial using U.S. population-based data, and; accounting for the non-US population enrolled in most oncology trials.
