WindRose Wins NOAA Contract for Geo Week 2017

RESTON, Va.; Oct. 4, 2018 – WindRose Media LLC has received a contract award to provide live and archived video webcasting and supplemental technology services for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). The contract is for one year with 4 one-year options and is part of the NTSB’s broader communication effort.

Under the terms of the contract, WindRose Media will webcast all NTSB Public Board Meetings which discuss and adopt major accident reports, special investigation reports, safety studies, and other related Board initiatives. WindRose will also webcast all NTSB public forums and symposia to discuss and advance interest in certain safety issues. The webcasts will be run out of two locations within NTSB offices, National Transportation Safety Board Conference Center in Washington, DC and the National Transportation Safety Board Training Center in Ashburn, Virginia. In addition to webcast services, WindRose Media will also install, manage and maintain a WiFi network within the NTSB press room at the Conference Center.

Every year, the week after Labor Day kicks off our busy season. While we are only about 25% return to in-person events, our virtual sessions are still growing and getting more complex. Today, WindRose is producing and executing five (5) virtual events for the Department of Criminal Justice in VA, four (4) in-person recordings and live webcasts for the Federalist Society from the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC, two (2) live hybrid/virtual events for the American Cancer society, a virtual event for the NTSB, and a virtual event for the FDIC. Phew – was tiring just typing all that. As always, we appreciate our clients’ support and patience as we build and use new technologies to accommodate very specific virtual and hybrid communication requests. Despite a difficult government shutdown earlier this year, WindRose has grown significantly in 2019 and we’re continuing our upward trajectory. All those events that cancelled in January have rescheduled to March...
